DatingDated the common guy.

Since no one I date or have dated read this blog, it's pretty safe to tell you this story - The tragedy of my dating life. Let's see how far I can get into the story before I get bored of telling it. Or perhaps, I'll just tell you one of the many frustrating experiences I have had with him.

Me: "I see zero growth in this relationship."
Him: "What?! I thought you said you didn't want to get married."
Me: "I don't, but I still would like to see some growth."
Him: "So now you want to talk about getting married and having kids??"
Me: "No. No, I don't. I just want to see some growth in the relationship."
Him: "What do you mean? We're having fun together."
Me: "I can't be in a relationship for this long and just have fun. There needs to be something more."
Him: "I don't understand. I thought you just wanted to have fun."
Me: "Just having fun is one extreme, getting married is the OTHER extreme. I want to find the happy medium."
Him: "So you don't want to get married..."
Me: "No. I don't."
Him: "Then what's wrong with just having fun?"

...Yes. Yes, this really did happen. What did I tell him?

Me: "You win. I give up."

The whole situation was kind of funny, minus the part that I was involved in it. Better luck next time, I suppose!?
