The Alchemist.
After much persuasion, I picked up The Alchemist at the bookstore. What I got from it was that life likes to play tricks with you and what the book seems to promote isn't necessarily true. Allow me paraphrase from the book..."When you are determined to do something (fulfill a Personal Legend), the Universe conspires to help you achieve that goal." It's a nice idea to believe, but realistically, Confucius said it best, "Sh!t happens." and if I may add to that, "Deal with it!"
NOT to say that I didn't enjoy the book, because I did =) It's a light and easy read, pick it up if you ever come upon it! The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo

I don't neceesarily think it's just a 'nice idea to believe'. I really do think that there is a greater force out there that truly wants to help you achieve what you desire.
Btw, I DID miss you..and noticed your absence. nice to see back in the virtual world :)

I'm going to have to side with Lizzie on this one. The universe conspires all right... of course, it's just as likely to side against you.
