Gentlemen.
Chivalry is not dead and it should never be =) So on my way to work and everywhere I walk, I have been taking a notice to see how many gentlemen there are out there. I guess I'm quite pleased...most of the guys I run into are pretty polite. I like that they:
1) let ladies into the elevators first.
2) wait for ladies to exit first from the elevator.
3) let ladies get on the escalator first.
4) offer to carry my heavy groceries to the car.*
5) carry my heavy bags.*
6) take their seats after the ladies have sat down.
7) put their hands on the small of your back while crossing.*
I like observing subtleties.
As a TOTAL aside, I had a PHOtastic lunch....MMmMMmMMmmm =)

I SO agree. There's nothing more attractive than a chivalrous gentleman.
Hehe, women always SAY that, but let's face facts, nice guys finish last. Therefore, having run in the back of the pack for so long, I've resolved to be "not nice." Although I must say I've been failing miserably. -.-
Needless to say, I offered to carry this girl's bag for her while walking her to the bus stop (yes we knew each other -.-), and she slapped me in reply. When will I ever learn?
maybe she was made at you for something else =p
Moi? nooo...
Lady Liz deservers no less
deserves no less......puddles no spell good =)
hand on the small of the back while crossing the road? I am a gentleman but that smacks of a violation of personal space. I wouldn't do it, am I too much of a gentleman for that?
=) not quite ON the small of the back as it is having the hand position maybe a half foot away as a "just in case". I think you can gently tap her back with your finger tips to let her know your hand's there.
