Good friends just click. I mean that figuratively and literally. =) Having been good friends for...10+ years (I avoid being precise about the years as to prevent you from counting how old I am!), we have, unknowingly, acquired the same pace. Click, click, click as her and I travel down the PATH with our heels in sync. No falling behind, no catching up, just perfectly in sync along the way - it's quite lovely.
