Doubly-Insulted.


I went to lunch with a friend today. The service was good, food was decent and when the bill came, I offered to pay. I was signing the bill when my friend said to me, "Career women are so cheap!"
I paused and thought about it before I reacted, "What do you mean cheap? I just paid for lunch! Or are you saying I have no career?"
"You aren't cheap," said my friend.
"Then I have no career, is what you're saying."
This is where my friend was supposed to stop talking, yet, he doesn't.
"Well, you don't have a career!"
GASP...How Dare he!!! All right, fine, no more melodrama (hehe). I knew he was referring to other women, nonetheless, he's buying me coffee for a year for that comment!
And all is well in the state of Denmark!
